Top Keto Snacks You Should Prepare

I have been on a keto diet for over a year, and I always look forward to my snacks. How about you? You probably feel the same excitement I experience. Usually, I eat pork rinds, and it is perfect for me because I always eat chips. But as time goes by, I feel like my snack is not appetizing at all. Then, I tried other snacks. Some of them are highlighted below. If you are tired and not satisfied with your snack, you are in the right place. Read on for more!

Tuna Pickle Boats

When I get hungry, I want a snack that is easy to prepare. These tuna pickle boats are my go-to keto recipe. It is not only delicious but also quick to prep. It is high in fat and low in carbs and calories. Perhaps, you have prepared some before. Now you are on a keto diet, you could still eat your favorite tuna pickle boats. You can use the same dill pickle. How about the tuna salad filing? You can modify the ingredients as long as it is keto-friendly.

Cheese Crisp

In other diets, you could no longer eat your favorite chips. But in the keto diet, you could still eat chips. Yes, you read it right. A cheese crisp is a perfect addition to your pork rinds. What is it made of, however? Well, it only has one ingredient. Yes, you guessed it correctly – it’s cheese. Just get cheddar cheese in your fridge. Then, slide it into your preferred size. Next, deep fry the cheese until golden brown. That’s it! You have already made delicious, flavorful, and creamy chips.

Canned Sardines

While nothing can beat preparing your food, you may not have enough time to cook your snack. Although you can skip taking snacks, it is best to have one, and canned sardines are time-saving. If you have not tried it before, I tell you it is good. It is typically packed in oil without heads. It tastes like a mild tuna. You may not like it at your first bite, but you would fall in love with a canned sardine when you take your second bite. Believe me!

Onion Rings

Onions are very flexible. If you have tried a boiled one before, it is time to turn it into onion rings. After cutting an onion into your preferred pieces, prep other ingredients, including eggs, coconut flour, parmesan cheese, pork rinds, and whipping cream. Beat the egg in a clean bowl. Coat the onion ring in coconut flour. Put it inside the beaten egg. Coat it with pork rinds. Then, fry until golden brown and serve. Share it with your partner as well!

Peanut Butter

Generally, peanut butter is keto-friendly as it is rich in fat and low in carb content. But most commercial products have an extra amount of sugar. Do not worry! You can still find the peanut butter that suits your unique health needs and requirements. While some eat it alone, it is best when paired with some celery. If you do not eat celery, look for other alternatives.

Hotdogs Covered in a Bread-Like Blanket

Another keto-friendly snack that I highly recommend is this recipe. Unlike other snacks, its recipes are easy to find and prep. All of its ingredients may be available in your fridge at the moment. You need hotdogs. Slice them into bite pieces. Then, prepare its bread-like blanket, made of baking powder, almond flour, cheese, and egg. Make extra servings to satisfy your cravings and taste buds.

Hard-Boiled Eggs

I would also encourage people who are on a keto diet to eat hard-boiled eggs. Every egg is nutrient-packed. It has calories, fat, cholesterol, protein, and vitamin A. More than that, it is creamy and delicious. While you can buy hard-boiled eggs from nearby stores, it is still ideal to prep a dozen of them yourself. If you have a pot, water, and eggs, you are all set. Now, what type of eggs should you take? Well, there are multiple options to choose from, including standard white egg, brown egg, organic egg, vitamin-enhanced egg, and more.
